Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) and Its Influence on Students’ Reading Comprehension

Reading is one of skills language that must be mastered by students. However, students often face the difficulties to comprehend a text. They have problem get information from reading text such as identifying social function, main idea, finding explicit and implied information, references, synonym antonym because limited vocabulary. Using pre-experimental quantitative design, namely group pre- post-test this study was intended investigate effect CSR students’ comprehension. This research used cluster sampling technique consisting 35 The data value analyzed using Paired Sample T-test SPSS Statistic version 23. analysis showed average score pre-test 63.14 while 84.57. t-test computation collected comparing results mean 21.429 standard deviation 11.086. result t-score -11.435 with significant (2-tailed) lower than 0.05.
